‘Morning watchers,
We’re heading into spring/summer season which means lots of blockbusters, fan favorites, and outdoor screenings headed your way! If you’ve been following since last year, you’ll remember I do try to include as many outdoor screenings as possible in the newsletter, so be on the lookout for those in the coming weeks.
The main event this week is the Senate Theater’s Carrie Prom: Party for a Projector Fundraiser and Film Screening this Saturday, doors open at 6pm (and if you’ve seen the movie, I hope the doors don’t close in any sort of dramatic fashion). The Senate is a beloved historic theater in Southwest Detroit, and a new projector is essential for them. Check out this event which will feature vendors, prom decorations, a live band, and of course this 70’s horror classic!
I’ll keep the intro brief(ish) this morning - but check out the rest of the newsletter for all of the cool cinema events happening this week in Metro Detroit!
Support your local theaters, go out to a movie!
Colleen
